Interesting no end that the average air time is 10 minutes.

Pretty hard to have a 100+ mile range with only a 10 minute flight time. It would have to be pretty darn fast to get 100 out and 100 back in 10 minutes. It’s fast, but not that fast, and flight time is far in excess of 10 minutes.

Something like that would be useful for dropping off survival gear to climbers stuck on mountains due to bad weather that’s too bad for manned aircraft to fly in.

Our USMC had similar thoughts as they initiated use of unmanned helicopters for resupply missions in Afghanistan over a year ago.

Edit:
VMU-2 initiated resupply via unmanned helicopters much earlier, in 2012.
