I believe that with journalists involved, there is no positive or negative news. It's all about highlighting, impressing and attracting attention.
A drone shoots down a helicopter, about to shoot down an airplane, brainless guy does pirouettes in Nevada. They are clear examples of negative news for us but at the same time sensational news for a journalist who is what they are always looking for.
At the other extreme we would have two sensational news stories as well, such as the rescue of a couple of teenagers in Australia or the notice of this thread.
I honestly believe that we should not dramatize thinking that the media is against drone pilots. They seek to be relevant with attention-grabbing news.
Another thing is that we see news of the wrongdoing of some pilot, who as a child did not develop his brain, doing something that harms us all. Those are the bad guys and not the newspapers or televisions. These are the ones we should despise, without palliatives, who know very clearly that we are not interested in their nonsense that causes us so much harm.
