We (Hays County Sheriff's Office - San Marcos Texas) have had our drone program for coming up on two years now. A lot of trials and tribulations but we are getting pretty good at it. We have worked with SWAT, done search and rescue, missing person's, foot pursuits, barricaded suspects, hostage situations and even helped the local FD with a large grass fire. I am probably leaving out a few. I have no doubt that in 3 to 5 years, drones will be common place in most first responder organizations.
