Using someone else's registered drone

I've been hired for a video shoot this weekend by a video production company that wants me to use it's registered Phantom 4 Pro rather than my P3P.

Anybody know if I need to add this AC (with it's already existing registration #) to my inventory on the DroneZone portal? And can I do that?

The registration is fine as it is as long as you have permission to use it. You should contact your insurance company and make sure you will be covered flying a loaner/borrowed/rental drone.

FDS nailed it above. Registration follows the aircraft and anyone "properly credentialed" can fly it commercially.

Thanks, folks. Re: FDS's suggestion on insurance ... I use Verifly for on-demand liability insurance per job, and interestingly they don't request any specific info on the drone being used. Coverage is good for "any drone under 55 lb."
