About This Role: | Kansas State University's Aerospace and Technology Campus in Salina, KS is seeking an Unmanned Aircraft Systems faculty member. The successful candidate is expected to be an active contributor to the UAS Department's teaching and research activities. Areas of teaching emphasis may include, but are not limited to: UAS systems integration, data acquisition and management, introductory courses, and advanced operations courses where applied research is integrated into the curriculum. This is a nine-month, regular position. For Non-Tenure Track Instructor: Nine month appointment, expected effort will be 90% teaching, 10% service Develop and deliver internationally recognized teaching and research programs Advise and direct research by undergraduate students Create an environment that fosters diversity and collegiality For Non-Tenure Track Teaching Assistant Professor: Nine month appointment, expected effort will be 80% teaching, 10% scholarship, 10% service Develop and deliver internationally recognized teaching and research programs Advise and direct research by undergraduate students Create an environment that fosters diversity and collegiality For Tenure Track Assistant Professor (Ph.D. required): Nine month appointment, expected effort will be 80% teaching, 10% scholarship, 10% service Develop and deliver internationally recognized teaching and research programs Advise and direct research by undergraduate students Create an environment that fosters diversity and collegiality Attract grant funds to support teaching and research programs Develop collaborative programs with other faculty, units, and departments at Kansas State University, and allied industry organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders |
