    Photo and Video Permission

Hand holding it. The only time I use the plastic piece of the device was to mount my 360 gear and wire grappler to get a prop guard off the roof. But I need both hands, one for the MA and the other for the controller. If I needed one hand operation, the the device makes sense. I vaguely remember...

    Photo and Video Permission

I'm not literally flying, but moving the drone with its motors powered off around the pool as if I am, but at a low altitude. There have been YouTube videos of people splicing a drone shot, hand flying through the house, then flying out the back. There is a plastic handheld device that holds the...

    Photo and Video Permission

As a side note, I went to the completely vacant pool area and did a fly around (motors off, camera on) before going to the lobby. When I did launch, showing a view above the pool (no roof here) there were pigeons flying around. I didn't realize how aggressive pigeons can be. I didn't stay up...

    Photo and Video Permission

I didn't even mention "Drone", why go there. I specifically asked permission to video tape me entering the lobby, going to the elevator. I've seen YouTubers do this before with their Osmo II Gimbal/Cell Phone/GoPro, as I'm not that inventive. I thought it was a very cool intro. I have both a...

    Photo and Video Permission

So here I am, 2 weeks in Perth Australia, Yea. Long Flight for these old bones. Anyway, The better half could not make the trip here so I thought I would do a mini travel log of my arrival. I was going to do a "fly through", holding the Mavic Air (motors off, in Camera mode) coming in the front...

    Flight with no GPS

If I try to fly my Mavic Air without the phone, just the controller, I can't go further than 50'. I'm guessing its not the GPS, but the phone home to mother ship for permission thats the bottle neck. Otherwise, How would it know to stop at 50'?

    Hiring

Sorry I didn't explain that Indiana was not part of California and one needed to check the local codes. My point was to say in some instances, one does not need to "Harass" the animal to make it leave. Here is a quick check I did for someone who is not experienced with Google to show where to...

    Hiring

This is on my lunch break at work. I didn't follow or chase the Geese, just hovered in the air. There are quite a few ponds nearby, so this field probably didn't have much interest to them anyway. We have Geese on the pond where I live. We get them to stay out of our yard by having a natural...

    Hiring

Not one to rain on a parade, but to officially "harass" Geese is against the law in Indiana. That being said, once when Canadian Geese were in the lot that I fly in at lunch, all I did was to launch and fly around. The Geese took off. I was no where near the Geese. They haven't returned since...

Good morning & question about 107 training

Here is my favorite Airspace YouTube video: Cyndy Hollman National Airspace System (Private Pilot Lesson 3a) Description: Explanation of the national airspace system including the different classes of airspace, speed restrictions, and entry requirements with a 3D model to show the airspace...

Good morning & question about 107 training

I personally used the Prepware Remote Pilot ($4.99) application. Its GUI is the same as the actual GUI used at the test site, so one gets acquainted with the format. When I consistently got 90% or better on multiple tries, then I knew I was ready.

    Flying Over People

Sorry, My intent is not to attack anyone. My job for the last 40+years has been in design, so I do have some experience in designing products that I've tried to make user friendly. The idiot phase, in my profession, has never meant as a personal attack on anyone in particular. I myself, can be...

    Flying Over People

If I'm in a "Public" construction zone, that doesn't mean I can safely cross a temporary barrier to get to the other side of the street. I'm not a lawyer, but common sense would tell me a jury wouldn't side with someone who endangers themselves irresponsibly. One the other hand, I know that its...

    Flying Over People

Perhaps the agency could get the shopping center to rope off a temporary corridor in the parking lot, that you could fly over?
