I think this presents an opportunity for some smart Electronics Engineer. Since all or at least most of the telemetry is already transmitted/exchanged between the quad and remote, I wonder if an after market add-on could be designed. I think of something like the Lume Strobe form-factor.

I wonder if the companies making radio and camera bits for the FPV/race community could come up an add on board or small module that attaches to our existing drones. The potential market is huge. I visualize something like the strobes that popped up when the night flying new rules were published.

Couldn't you apply for a waiver that covers and extended period of time? If you cover multiple construction sites, I suspect you'd need to do a waiver for each one. If approved, you wouldn't have to mess with individual approvals.

I agree with you. My understanding is 24 months after receiving your Part 107 official license, you must pass the recurrent test to be good to go for another 24 months. The official start date of your license shows up in the IACRA. That buys you a couple of extra months while waiting for the...

It took nearly a week for my test number to be accepted. Just a couple of days for my temp license to be downloaded. I tested on Feb 22. Just received my “card” last week, April 17.

I just passed my 107 two weeks ago. I’m focusing on real estate, construction and home inspection.
