The yellow one is the one with the isotherm function. It is a temperature alarm which only shows the areas between 13 and 15 degrees while the span is on auto. The other one is the one with the pinched thermal span. All the colors of the palette are distributed over the areas that have a...

I Thanks for looking it up. I see what they did now. They made a hybrid of the true isotherm function and the span. If I'm not mistaken they use the regular color palette to display the image between the set isotherms? I did a little search and found out DJI does the same thing. I think that...

I will know soon. My boss went ahead and bought the M2EA. He got a sweet deal on a very complete package including all the needed and available drone courses and licenses for me and my colleagues. If we get a lot of requests for dronework we can always expand and upgrade.

That would be very helpful! I would really love the option to manually set the upper and lower temperature where I want to distribute the colors of the palette between. It will really help to pinpoint the smaller issues in structures when viewing them live. I need to be able to cancel out...

I saw all the other features advertised and in reviews, but not the manual level and span adjustments. So you can actually manually set the level and span like in the attached examples? That would sell the drone for me.

Cute couple! What are the capabilities of the IR suite? Can you narrow down the thermal span in flight?

Spot on. The price tag of a bigger/better platform isn't the issue for us, the ROI is. Our handheld FLIR cameras are usually 20-30k when we get them and we have over 100k worth of other equipment and tools in our cars. We use most of that daily. It looks like we will start with a compromise...

Although that's a beautiful platform, I think it would be a bit much for a first drone. We have no clients asking for aerial footage yet, we have to create a new market for ourselves first. Both in price and in size. We'd need bigger cars to haul that around. Our company cars are already filled...

I have seen that one and I like the bigger smart controller. I couldn't find any information on the ability to actually thermal tune it. Just gain settings which let's you choose between 2 temperature ranges, but those were still big ranges. I would really like them to have the ability to...

I hope the M3E in any forms will be a bit more capable when it comes to the thermal features. On the other hand I fear they hope to force serious IR users to the Matrice series with locking out features like that. My experience with software from any company that doesn't solely focus on...

We actually got a reply from one of the vendors we approached. They sent us a couple of images. One was a converted file and that was perfectly usable in FLIR Tools. The biggest downside of the M2EA I discovered is the lack of live thermal tuning abilities. That's a real downer for a...

Drone based thermography quality and usability.

Hello, I'm an experienced Level 1 building thermographer from The Netherlands and my company is currently looking into getting a drone based camera to do roof and high rise inspections. We might move into the high voltage electrical inspections and other commercial fields with it too. To start...
