What I mean is have you any specific legislation material (written into law in whataver states or areas) that I can cite in future works. It's always good to have a contact with the author or contributor to a law. I'm working towards my PhD in drone tech, law and application you see. See my...

    Flying classified airspace for charities

In UK law, charity work is still 'valuable consideration'... therefore yes, a licence IS needed. Charities don't always get a pass, and rightly so imo... people and events are still in proximity and therefore safety is a primary consideration.

Got any citable material? Might be useful in my PhD. Tx

Greetings from the Wirral (just south of Liverpool in the UK)

Thanks BigAl07, nice to meet you. I hope to contribute useful and meaningful material and guidance best I can.

CDP Giveaway - Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian!

Just putting my toe in the water here.. always been sceptical about online giveaways. Gladly would use a P4P ob in our fleet though. I'd incorporate it in my research and help the community with detailed information on how to calibrate the camera. I've started making threads, hope they are of use.

    How much to charge?

Hi Tim, yes it most definitely is. My advice however is free. Get a pen and paper, and work out the sectors you work in/for/aimtotarget. Find prices for these services, but not by fudge calling other operators, that's seriously frowned upon. Average those prices. Consider what you will work...

    How much to charge?

We have a cost calculator, and usually when I'm working on a quote with a client I use it in person (I show a new version, with blank inputs) and this generates the cost. I charge for each aspect individually - flight planning (paid up front minimum £80/$110) as this covers my time even if the...

UK Insurance & Aerial Inspection - a brief overview

Hi all, you're here probably because you are 1. in the UK and/or 2. trying to figure out how to get in with insurers to gain work. This stuff applies to the US too, to a degree. Not sure about prices though. Most insurance brokers are selling the products, they are not necessarily the people...

    UK PFCO Discussion and Help

I was trained by Coptrz. I would NOT recommend them. Couldn't run a bath. No pre-course materials, sent us to the wrong location (40 miles away) and didn't notify us prior, also then having dealt with them procuring equipment had a terrible experience. I could go into more detail but would...

Have not seen this light in use before

Not quite crop inspection, it's just a night inspection facilitated by a high powered light (IMO)

Greetings from the Wirral (just south of Liverpool in the UK)

Hello everyone! And Hi to the (current) handful of UK PfCO operators! Not many folk know where the Wirral is... do you? It's a proper gem in the crown of Northwest England. We've wildlife reserves, top end hotels and some extremely weathly residents including Rafael Benitez, and numerous others...

Why is the real estate industry so chintzy?

My grudge is not ill founded. I did a 1m30s property showcase video for an agent as a 'sample'. Not only was this place selling one of my properties, but I was actually doing this job for free, on the basis that we would be the 'go to' for future aerial, which is still the case despite there...

Why is the real estate industry so chintzy?

I can't stand realtors, they are essentially used car salespeople, doing not a lot for their money and expecting to be treated like royalty. I AVOID them in my business, and when people (who always have ideas: 'have you thought of using a drone for XYZ' types, which is a nice thought but not...
