    nolimitdronez.com or ???

I have no issues with removing NFZ because I know I fly safe and follow all the rules and laws. I was one of the guys that had an unlock code not work after receiving it from DJI. I drove 200 miles before I found out about it. I had the NFZ removed within just a few hours while in my hotel and...

    AirMap to the rescue

I live and fly in Phoenix as well. Just to clarify, you were flying IN class B airspace when you switched to AirMap, or you were flying under it? I have been flying UNDER Class B on all of my shoots since I became Part 107, and have had no problems with the GO app yet. That being said, I will...

    Autopilot missions explained

Nice video. I'd use Auto Pilot more if it worked with the CrystalSky - I'm hoping they get a build completed for it one of these days. Question: When using Zipline mode, is it possible to give control of the camera to a second operator (slave remote), or does the app want full control?

    Flying over 400 ft AGL

You don't need a waiver to fly 400 feet above the mountain. In my case, the mountain is about 1800 feet higher than my launch point. The I2 will only go ~1600 feet above the launch altitude even though that is still FAR below 400 feet AGL in my case. I have a workaround so it does not interfere...

    Flying over 400 ft AGL

Yes, this is correct. The app won't allow anything higher than 500m. I have a mountain ridge I like to film at sunset which is ~1800 feet AGL from my takeoff point, but only 20 feet above the ground. I have to jump through a few hoops to make that happen.

Drone crash causes wildfire in Flagstaff, AZ

I forgot to mention that they are not saying what the drone type is, but they give its dimensions as 16" X 16". Custom build perhaps?

Drone crash causes wildfire in Flagstaff, AZ

I doubt they will charge him/her unless they can prove he/she was doing something stupid - and knew it at the time. We constantly have people coming here from all over the country to hike that ultimately get stuck due to dehydration or just not being prepared. The costs of the helicopter to...

    Skirting Class E Airspace..

So you say "skirting class E", but in reality, you should be well under neath it. The chart shows two uncontrolled airports with Class E Airspace floor starting at 700' AGL. As Russ pointed out, it's probably a high traffic area and tuning into CTAF is a great idea. Please share some of the...

    Military Training Routes

This is true. If, the sectional chart has a four digit VR, it's at or below 1500' AGL. If it has three digits it will be at or above 1500' AGL. There is no way to know when they are coming as it is completely up to the pilot. I have one near me as well, and I see fighter jets scream by at only...

    Unexpected copyright issue

I had a similar incident to this a few months back. In producing a few real estate videos in a popular tourist town, I decided to also include a "life style" video of the town itself. It included stuff like popular hiking trails, mountains, restaurants and shops. I was contacted by a popular...
