CSFD

I am a 42 year veteran of the fire service and currently the Audio/Visual Specialist for the Colorado Springs Fire Department. A very cool job! I run and manage a full production broadcast studio on two Comcast private access channels. We broadcast fire training, critiques, medical and informational programs live and interactive into all of our 22 fire stations and to the surrounding area fire departments and hospitals. I have received one Telly Award and was the first firefighter in the nation, in 2014, to receive an Emmy (Heartland Region) for my footage of the Waldo Canyon and Black Forest fires. I am also a Part 107 FAA certified UAS pilot and a private pilot.I shoot a lot of fire. Whether it's structural or training, I love the challenge of getting that perfect shot on one of the hardest subjects to shoot. Inside a burn tower in full turnout gear and SCBA in 300°F heat and above brings to bear all of my skill as a firefighter and a videographer to get the shot, not get hurt and keep the camera from melting! My dream is to win another Emmy.
