Feel free to do and say what you like. I will do the same.

    Part 107 Recurrency Test?

I must be misunderstanding the proposal. I'm not suggesting that it drops the idea of recurrency. I am interpreting it to mean we move from testing center (UGR test) to online training for recurrency.

    Part 107 Recurrency Test?

To support it, just the NPRM dated Feb 2019 which reads: Recurrent Knowledge Training ........................... A person may only operate a small UAS if that person has completed the following in a manner acceptable to the Administrator within the past 24 months: (1) Passed an initial...

    Part 107 Recurrency Test?

No, I didn't either. I suspect it will be delivered by 3rd parties that get their course approved by the FAA and charge a fee. Or perhaps participation in the WINGS program covering related topics. Yes, just words on paper, and could change, but I highly doubt they will move from the concept of...

    Part 107 Recurrency Test?

Looks like the recurrent test will be dropped. It will just be taking an online course every 24 calendar months. This should save people some money and the hassle of preparing for the UGR.

    Part 107 Registration Card

It looks like the information I provided will be obsolete soon. "Second, the FAA proposes to update existing regulations related to remote pilot certification. Currently, part 107 requires remote pilots to take an initial knowledge test and then another test once every two years to maintain a...

Some may argue that you don't need to have it physically with you but if you should get ramp checked by an FAA...

    Hello from Montana

I hear ya. Chances are there will be no problems but good to have in mind what you will do if it does happen. Beyond that not much else you can do so may as well relax and have a good time. :)

That's a nice area and yep, a higher risk of bear attack. You might have to pay your VO's combat pay. Bear Attack near Columbia Falls

    Hello from Montana

Oh ok, good to know. I will let you know when it's ready, thank you. As you might expect there is a fair amount of time involved to hit all of the areas within the ACS for the initial.

    Hello from Montana

Thank you, I appreciate the welcome. Looking over the posts it looks like lots of great information. I am not flying anything right now. I'm putting together a 107 ground school and test prep, and at some point in the near future I will be taking the test myself and applying for the Remote Pilot...
