    Fly over people waiver

It’s the ASTM kit that’s $1500. Yep, it’s a lot, but almost everyone with a 107.39 waiver had to get it. Sounds ridiculous until you start raking in money doing events.

    Fly over people waiver

Not to advertise anyone, but I got it by contacting ParaZero and getting the SafeAir ASTM product and using the documentation for that along with op manual, etc. and got it on the first try. They have these for Mavic 2 Pro, P4P, and, I believe, Matrice 200 series. SafeAir is an automatic...

Sites like Droners.io are a race to the bottom.

DroneBase isn’t much better. I’m pretty inexpensive but $40 for a video? Nope. It’s for hobbyists with a 107.

    Flying Over People

My understanding so far is that while waivers won’t be necessary before flight, the same requirements will be in place as to equipment and documentation.

Question about state/county parks and airspace control

California State Parks is compiling a list of state parks with drone rules. Once that’s done, and if I can get backing, I intend to start a legal challenge to make sure it is cemented in precedent that the Park Service —at whatever level—only controls activities on the ground and not on the air...

    Bye Bye License

Yeah, you’d want to keep your distance, however, I see first responder activity pop up as TFRs pretty often, so it’s wise to check and keep checking during flight. That would be a fast-changing situation; you would not know if aerial activity was imminent. Legal could become illegal in a heartbeat.

    Advertising to Cruise Ships

You’ll need a lot of manual waivers from FAA and USAF. I hope the mission is well paid and the terms include something just for trying to get those, because it’s unlikely. LAANC show them as no-fly.

    Permanent UAS NOTAMS

I see your point now. Thank you. I’m new to commercial flight so my apologies for being dense.

    Permanent UAS NOTAMS

Sorry, responded to the wrong post. I've never had a need for a permanent NOTAM and am curious. What would you use that for?

    107 Regulation "Flyers"

I don't know what state you're in, but here in California, it's pretty clear. FAA lets you fly wherever you want, depending on their own authorization rules, but what you photograph is another story. Here, you can fly over private property all you want, but it is unlawful to fly over private...

    Permanent UAS NOTAMS

I don't know about permanent NOTAMs, but if you're flying in a military training area, it's a good idea to file one so your bird isn't sucked into a low-flying figher. They fly as low as 200ft in some areas. If you file a NOTAM/DROTAM, they are fine with you flying there as their pilots will get...

    Dealing with Confrontations

You handled it perfectly. I was on a job (which cost me a lot to get to) and when I got to the property and launched, the caretaker came out threatening to shoot down my bird. I landed it, we discussed, turned out the owner failed to inform him. I packed up and left and sent the owner a bill for...
