Windows 11 installing idea is needed.

It's a new operating system from a company that has a track record of releasing a far from ideal version of their OS every other time. Windows 10, while not perfect, has been out for a relatively long time and unless there are specific features that you need from W11, I'd say stay on W10, at...

    M30, M30T and H20N Taking Pre-Orders NOW at Floridadronesupply.com

Neat, that's cheaper not as expensive than I thought it would be for some reason. Any word on the dock pricing yet?

Those who are "processing" your own images (stitching) etc for mapping. . .

Not really. You can't really represent yourself as an officer of the law or a medical doctor if you're not without some repercussions. Sincerely, Mr. Officer Doctor, Esq, MD of Law

DJI FLY SAFE PANIC. PLEASE HELP

I think I know the answer, but does that mod void the warranty or the DJI care refresh plan? Is there a way to undo the mod if the drone turns on?

    Another Job offer.

You can pretty much always assume that all jobs posted on DroneBase and similar apps are gonna be priced too low lol. I saw a gig for a real estate agent priced at $40. For like a 750k+ house. Ended up doing it for $80 because it was basically down the street and was super easy for me, but boy...

    Droners.io bid question

Nothing wrong with wearing shorts and a T-shirt if it's warm out and I'm glad outdated dress code requirements are dying out. Just saying. You're just flying a drone, you're not a surgeon.

    Hints for Indoor Drone Videos

I recently flew an Air 2 indoors for a gig and was expecting the worst in terms of interference and prop wash, etc. This was in an old brick building with tons of radio interference, also was close to a bunch of cell tower equipment and it was a tricky shot in general that required tracking and...

LAANC can now approve night time operations

Yep still have a current 107, but fly recreationally sometimes too. Looks like both 107 and rec flyers can get LAANC authorization during the day, but only part 107 flights get approved at night. If you're a little out of the loop, a new, free recurrent training rolled out on the faasafety.gov...

LAANC can now approve night time operations

I just tested this in nearby Class D airspace, but it looks like LAANC now approves appropriate night time requests instead of automatically rejecting them. Officially WAHOO! or not? edit: Confirmed by Jon, the head cheese at Aloft.

US v. Causby (1946) and what altitude can you legally fly at over someone's property

This sometimes comes up on the /r/drones subreddit that I help moderate and wanted to get your guys' thoughts and maybe even some clarification from people smarter and more knowledgeable than I. Some people are claiming that people have ownership of airspace above their property, more...

FBI investigates high altitude drone operation over Tuscon, AZ in February 2021

Just saw this story posted by one of the users on /r/drones. https://kvoa.com/news/2021/05/20/fbi-investigation-underway-in-tucson-after-drone-flies-dangerously-close-to-cbp-helicopter/ https://www.avweb.com/aviation-news/high-altitude-drone-encounter-prompts-fbi-investigation/

    2 Way Radio handheld Receives

One thing to point out here is that VOs do not extend the VLOS.
