Creating site plans- Anyone know what software was used to create this?

I would guess something like autocad civil3d, maybe Carlson or perhaps trimble business center or topcon magnet. It definitely seems to be traditional survey data mixed with aerial data.

    S900, inspire 1 pro with x5

Better than normal A/C isn't saying much, I regularly see vertical error of 0.5' to 1.5' in traditional manned aircraft photogrammetry data. "Excellent topographic results" could mean an inch, a foot, a meter...what are you actually seeing? I couldnt nail down accuracy under a few inches until I...

    Filming new road

Litchi would work just fine for this and according to part 107 we are allowed to operate from a moving vehicle over sparsely populated areas so I would just have someone drive me behind it so I could keep an eye on the bird and have quick access to the controls.

    S900, inspire 1 pro with x5

65/75 overlap wont cut it even for 2d mapping if you want accuracy. 80 front/70 side is really the lowest you can go to achieve accurate results in a 2d orthomosaic...80/80 is minimum for survey grade 3d accuracy and then you still need enough GCPs that are properly placed. Of course this is...

    S900, inspire 1 pro with x5

I have mapped many missions with the phantom 3 pro, inspire and x5, as well as the phantom 4 pro. The main drawback of the inspire setup is bettery life per flight and the speed you must fly to accomodate the fact that a jpeg can only be stored about every 2.5-3 seconds. I went between my 15mm...

    Phew..

What service are you using to process? That is a decent sized data set but 24 hours is a little ridiculous. I process in house with agisoft photoscan and have done larger data sets than that in a shorter amount of time. If you didnt get coordinates on your gcps are you just prpcessing with drone...

    Waypoints limit

Are you using the photogrammetry planning tool? Have you tried planning the flight using the "trigger camera by time" option? If you use that option and dont have the "additional waypoints" box checked it only creates waypoints at the end of flight lines and at any points needed to keep a...

Have you ever tested Maply Platform for processing?

This looks like a full package solution, one thing your website does not address is wether or not maply supports use of GCPs for processing? Is this a current feature or is it soley for drone based GPS processing?

    Drone Deploy adding Geofencing

Any time, if you cant find any info on thw subject let me know and I'd be happy to email support with an inquiry since sometimes paying customers get answers quicker than potential customers.

    Minimum Overlap

Also I forgot to mention that another way to place GCPs is to build a relationship with a local surveyor...many surveyors have no idea the amount of time drones can save them and often a simple proving mission done for free or very cheap to show them proof of concept could be worth dividends in...

    Drone Deploy adding Geofencing

Mike, I didnt mean to sound negative towards any pilots that use DD or don't bother learning the process of photogrammetry...its a big process and its complicated to say the least but there is something to be said for understanding the product your offering to clients. DD is a product that does...

    Drone Deploy adding Geofencing

I have been using UGCS since May and have had some ups and downs but ive found the features that it offers are second to none so tge occasional trouble shooting has been worth it. I wish I had answers about rhe integration of the RTK system but I dont own any RTK equipped drones so I haven't a...

Hey sorry this thread has taken me so long to get back to...I'll try to give you as much info as possible. The landfills that I have been involved in monitoring perform their inspections either once a year, or quarterly depending on the type. Full disclosure I am a land surveyor and have been...

    Drone Deploy adding Geofencing

I think this really shows you the type of pilots that dronedeploy are marketing towards. Maybe they assume since these pilots aren't bothering to learn how to process their data sets themselves they aren't bothering to stay in legal airspace either? Its dissapointing they feel the need to add...
