ARTICLE: Who owns the air above your home?

I'll have to research Hawaii laws, but this definitely highlights the types of issues I'd want in my contract to make it clear to the Realtor that they are required to notify neighbors and confirm permissions otherwise my coverage could be limited.

ARTICLE: Who owns the air above your home?

I had a conversation with my neighbor (a realtor) and he was asking how he can protect his privacy from another neighbor flying his drone low and close to his house. My realtor neighbor is still researching local laws and such, but below is an excerpt from an article I found in just a quick...

Using a Realtor as an observer

Thanks for the feedback everyone. That's exactly what I wanted and why I asked the question. You've definitely confirmed what I've been "thinking through" as I consider the best ways to conduct business after I take and pass the 107 exam.

5 quick tips using drones in wedding events

Sorry, I just watched it again, twice, and didn't see it. Perhaps it was a problem with my computer or internet connection.

Using a Realtor as an observer

Has anyone had success with using a realtor as an observer? I do not have my 107 yet, but thinking through who I'd use as an observer since I do not have employees and would rather not have to beg friends or family to help me on jobs. Initially I was thinking I could do it that way by...

5 quick tips using drones in wedding events

Thanks... BTW, I'm glad you asked the question about pricing. I recognize it's different for every market, but I was looking for more information. It's rare that I find information on websites of local competitors. Do you have employees or friends as observers? I'm thinking through how I go...

Taking my part 107 test Saturday morning!

Good luck Bob, I hope you do well. I'm still going through material with RemotePilot101 and still have to schedule my test. I have to fly to another Island (Oahu) to take the test, but that's the price of living in the islands -- dealing with some limitations. I've been doing well with the...

5 quick tips using drones in wedding events

AH-1G: Thanks for posting the video from your son's wedding. I really like it. Do you know what caused the screen to go green at one point in the video? Everyone: Regarding the question of noise, anyone flying a P3P? I'm curious of what altitude they've found best for capturing the best...

Working with your local TV network affiliates

Thanks for sharing... I find it interesting since it's not something I would have considered. Our local paper has been downsized considerably, so I could see where they could have cut any UAS section and simply gone to outsourcing for UAS footage. I'll give it a shot.

    Looking forward...

Good deal -- congrats. I'm sure it must have been a surprise when you received the phone call. I know what you mean about not expecting problems like that from a Safari browser. I'm a Mac guy as well and recently switched to using Firefox since I was experiencing problems with Safari and...

Wow... Good to know. I didn't realize they're so far behind. Thanks for the heads up.

    Looking forward...

You mentioned you're waiting 80 days for certification before doing billable projects. I haven't taken the test yet, but I thought you could start working commercially as soon as you complete the test and have the temporary notice/print that you passed the test. Is that not correct? Thanks, John

    Aloha...

Aloha from Hawaii. I'm looking forward to incorporating drone photography and video into my business. My photography business specializes in portraits, real estate, and weddings, but I also plan on using my drone images for creating fine art images of hard to reach areas on the island. Still...
