My first LAANC - MLI / Quad Cities IA

Yes, it is convenient. I did the same last Wednesday in So Calif for airspace 3mi from Ontario Intl Airport. Quick and painless. Strange that they didn't ask for my Part107 Cert#. Seems like kind of a loose process, opposite of what I expected.

    Unexpected copyright issue

I would simply leave it off the website for a while and let them know it's removed and sorry to offend. Then 3 months later mirror the photo and take off their logo and repost it. They likely won't recognize it, especially if it had another logo they don't recognize, like MetaCruiselines...

    Questions for part 107 pilots

Well, the question is non relevant to safe flying, it's certainly not test worthy IMO, when many other issues are. I hope they refine the test questions with time. I will never be an expert on marijuana, and the question was offensive.

    Questions for part 107 pilots

Yes, good point, I agree. If you're doing commercial work at the airport, this is good to know. So what about the marijuana question? How's that relevant? :D

    Questions for part 107 pilots

The line on the runway noting taxi versus runway has nothing to do with piloting a drone, regardless of the airport class and how close you can get. It's just a stupid question for Part 107 that some moron threw in there for no logical reason. It makes me wonder just how smart the FAA is, as...

    Would you bother...

You may want to reconsider and look at this kind of situation a little different. Disclosing the Part 107 subject is to inform only, letting him know the requirements to keep him out of trouble, and safe, in case he's unaware of the requirement, which is often the case. That's not trying to...

    Questions for part 107 pilots

The toughest part for me was learning to read charts and know 100% what all the symbols stood for. The whole upside-down wedding cake thing takes a while to absorb. All the other guidlines and logic was quite straightforward. But for the life of me, I see no reason to know what a line on the...

Is a Phantom 4 Pro Professional Enough?

I don't expect heavier cameras with optional lenses to be introduced in a P5P. It takes more battery and motor power to get into that realm, which is what an Inspire is for. For what they offer Inspires are great for commercial work, and they aren't that expensive if you're a good...

    Would you bother...

Most of these guys buying their own craft won't have a Part 107 certification. That's what I would bring up, making sure they're aware of the regulation and the penalties for taking photos or video to any commercial purpose. Even schools, fire departments and police are required to have Part...
