I got additional info today that DJI removed Mapbox as a map source on this drone, which only leaves Amap, and Amap does not allow caching for offline use. Other DJI products still use Mapbox, wonder why they removed it from an enterprise level drone with no good work around.

It appears that the P4Pro RTK can no longer cache maps for use in areas with no cell coverage. Per my conversations with DJI support, they are aware of this but give no expectation of a fix, and suggest planning the flight in advance and flying with no map coverage on site. Here is my...

I use the ipad mini 4, or ipad pro 9.7 with no problems. Both are a couple of years old, but going strong. I do not have many non-drone apps installed to bog them down. Both are cellular capable, but do not have service activated. I use a mifi to access maps when necessary.
