Well stated analysis. Made me think that I can buy a lot of airplane for the cost of one dji drone.

I just found a link to UgCS software. Ground Station Software | UgCS PC Mission Planning Anybody trying this yet? Claims to allow flight in the NO FLY ZONES! but it costs $600 plus annual fee. If it works, it would help me out in several small towns nearby with 0' elevation red zones.
