    .Raw vs Raw

RAW, as BigAl says in the photography world is just the unedited pure capture data from the sensor. As soon as you take it into software and change any parameters, it will no longer be a RAW file and will be saved as some kind of regular format (.psd, .tif, .jpg etc.) In the video world, there...

    Recurrent Question

There are a few rule variations between Part 107 and recreational. If you intend to fly recreational and are questioned by authorities, technically you should have a TRUST certificate and a copy of the CBO rule that you are following. Take the test on Pilot Institute, it's easy and you can print...

You could also look into Airdata. They have various plans including an Enterprise Plan for multiple drones and pilots.

DaVinci media offline on 4k 60fps upload

FWIW, the new Apple M-Chips will do more with less memory than PC machines, it's a more efficient chip. In the past I had an M1 Mac Mini with only 8GB of RAM and it will play back 4K/60fps footage with no dropped frames at full resolution in Da Vinci Resolve. Premiere Pro is a bit less efficient...

DaVinci media offline on 4k 60fps upload

Was the previous import shot in H.265? That is what the HEVC extension is for. High frame rates on some drones can only be shot in H.265 but most everything else will be able to be filmed in H.264. Once you shoot a high frame rate on these models, you will need to go back and manually change it...

    Hello From St. Louis

There's an edit button that shows after it posts. BTW, I'm from Barnhart so only about 25 minutes south of downtown. I used to work downtown but we've been remote since 2020. Which beats driving in traffic.

How do you charge for filming cinematic footage?

For footage only, I usually charge a half day or a day rate depending on the deliverable resolution, airspace requirements, insurance requirements etc...Mapping is a different animal since the deliverables involved are a bit different. If your client is taking care of the data and you're just...

How do you charge for filming cinematic footage?

I have only given out raw footage once, to a charity outfit that was doing a fundraising video. They had a professional film crew doing the ground shots and interviews as well as the editing so I was comfortable letting them edit. It also saved them money for just my time onsite and they were...

    Finally working steadily!

I've been using Photoshop professionally since before layers were a thing. The best way to learn if your'e hands on, is to open up a copy of a file that you can afford to mess up (You can always close without saving) and just go through the menus and see what everything does. Some things only...

Congratulations! There's a YouTube channel run by Rich Baum that is all about real estate photography. That would be a good resource for you.

Survey Signs (hi rises, billboards, building signs, etc)

The DJI M30 has a built in laser range finder I believe. Whether it's an optional add on or part of the basic imaging set, I'm not sure.
