FAA waiver for flying at night

I think you are on to something. Thanks for reviewing my application too, sir. The weird thing is I re-used the application that KittyHawk got approved on, re-worded it for better grammar, improved on it with 5 new paragraphs and new information I learned at GoldSeal that wasn't in their...

Yes I have the lumecube ones that KittyHawk referenced in their waiver application and were approved with.

FAA waiver for flying at night

No, I did not. Maybe that's why? I guess I wouldn't have any of that information if I don't even know where I'll be flying yet. The purpose of obtaining the waiver is so that I can take on work that will involve flying at night, but no one is going to hire me for it until I have the waiver. I...

FAA waiver for flying at night

Well I was denied. They said I didn't include enough details about my proposed operations, and that I didn't list all hazards and how to mitigate them. I thought I was very very detailed. Could anyone here that was approved look at my application and give me feedback? If so, please message me.

FAA waiver for flying at night

Yeah I do see it now. It would be nice to have approval for class C airspace at night because a large portion of my city are under class C. Same with the class E2 that a neighboring city is under. My usage is just to take landscape lighting photos for homes and would never need to fly more than...

FAA waiver for flying at night

I accidentally said in my waiver application that I will be occasionally operating in class C and E airspace, before I learned they only give the waiver for class G. Do you think they will reject the application, or just give the waiver but say I can only operate in class G? If they deny the...

thanks for your help. Do you find that these mls have any video length limit?

urgent - video - what do you deliver to realtors and how do they use it?

I've been mostly doing stills for realtors but finally got a bite from a realtor who wants to pay for video, she's really insistent that she needs it. The problem is, it would be my first time doing video for a Realtor (I've done them before for things like farms and wineries), and this Realtor...

Drones in Real Estate: Pricing and Contracts

The issue isn't that the REA aren't paid yet, its just that most of them are stingy and don't see the value in the service enough to pay at all. I've been doing RE photography (ground) not for about 5 years and let me tell you, real estate agents are the cheapest b*stards out there. They want...

Denied for night flying and over people, they want me to do crash tests and submit data

I understand, of course. No one likes more rules and regulations. But we do have a choice. We elect people that make these laws. We have voting power and need to exercise it. I am good friends with a member of Congress and will see what she says could be done about trying to pass legislation...

Denied for night flying and over people, they want me to do crash tests and submit data

So do you think i am screwed now and tagged by the FAA as a risk should something happen because i applied and then was denied? I am not going to fly over anyone or break any laws, of course we all know drones can malfunction. I didn't know getting the waiver was so impossible or i wouldn't...

Denied for night flying and over people, they want me to do crash tests and submit data

A thought, but RE: the stipulation of not being able to fly above someone unless they are a part of the crew, what would be stopping someone in theory from having the clients being flown over from signing an agreement that they are visual observers in the operation?

Denied for night flying and over people, they want me to do crash tests and submit data

The idea was more or less to have the drone about 10ft above the bride and groom to get a photo of them from directly above. Its a signature shot we've been doing for 8 years using a 12 ft step ladder and very popular, every client requests this shot. Was hoping to use the drone instead because...
