Has anyone on here gotten any work from the site Droners.io?

It's highly unlikely that you'll ever make a living of it if you rely on third party brokers to find work for you. The only way to be a success at this is to take charge, learn how to market yourself properly, and become the pro that people want to work with. Flying is the smallest part of...

    Daylight waiver/Night training?

As FrozenDinners said, yes. You do have to take the ALC 677 if you wish to take advantage of the new rules.

    Daylight waiver/Night training?

Hi, JDL. Take ALC 677 at FAASafety.gov.

Excited to see a marketing category

Marketing is the primary spot where many Remote Pilots miss the spot. You don't get an award for attendance where marketing is concerned. You have to present compelling reasons for people to hire.

Clarification for new rule: "Operations over People", Cat 3 and Prop Guards

If you are operating a UA under a rule that requires operations as a Category, then yes, your aircraft must be configured so that it will not lacerate human skin.

Clarification for new rule: "Operations over People", Cat 3 and Prop Guards

Here's a new Advisory Circular that slipped under my radar until today. It's worth a look. https://www.faa.gov/documentLibrary/media/Advisory_Circular/AC_107-2A.pdf?_ga=2.33400502.980103162.1617985174-1593539620.1564254254

Clarification for new rule: "Operations over People", Cat 3 and Prop Guards

No problem Dave. There is just a lot of gossip going around about people self-certifying their existing UAs into one of the categories. I'm just trying to keep the info going in the right direction.

Biden visit cramping my drone game!

Same problem when Trump was president, and Obama before him. Based on today's threats, TFRs are just a part of life. They aren't a political issue.

Clarification for new rule: "Operations over People", Cat 3 and Prop Guards

Hi, Dave. Unfortunately, this issue of kinetic energy and category is not up to the individual to estimate. It needs to be done by the manufacturer and has to be documented in the operating manual. It's going to require engineering testing to destruction. Also, a declaration of compliance must...

Clarification for new rule: "Operations over People", Cat 3 and Prop Guards

Compliance with Part 89 is only specified for flights over "open-air assemblies". Smaller groups and individuals may not qualify as "assemblies". That suggests to me that, in these situations, compliance with Part 89 (which is impossible for now) would not be required. However, it is...

Clarification for new rule: "Operations over People", Cat 3 and Prop Guards

What Al said. No rotating parts that might lacerate skin. And this applies to Categories 1, 2, and 3.

    Part 107 Test/Recurrency go LIVE 4/6/21... Important notes . . .

Your certificate does not expire. When you take the recurrent test, that resets your currency and that's good until the end of the month, 24 months later. There will be no changes to your certificate. https://www.uavgroundschool.com/articles/your-2-year-drone-license-renewal

Has any pilot on here ever used, are they credible.

Envato and Pond5 are the goto choices for many video folks.
