This is interesting. Would you just approach your local Fire Dept. or mayor's office and say "hey, how's your disaster prep?" Well, with a more professional tone than that, anyway.

I use a P4P. Just fine for most photo and video work once I got the settings tweaked right. Unless you need zoom, thermal, or Hollywood quality video.

I mostly used the free online materials and videos. The Tony Northrup one was the best for me. I did pay for a course (can't remember which one... not Gold Seal). It wasn't expensive, but ultimately not all that helpful either.

Does anyone have any tips or experience with training programs? I'd like to get into thermal, ortho, agriculture, and other areas beyond photography. I have a few options in mind, but I'd like to hear some other opinions. I don't have the money to just go buy 12 grand worth of gear and figure it...
