Short Demo For Local Fire Rescue Training Facility

Yes, I do have a 107.29 waiver. And I have it attached to this specific airports controlled airspace as well so I can use it in class C if we wanted. However this operation did not need its use as we were down before "30 minutes after sunset". I have not flown any live fires for them. Yet anyways.

    First restricted use airspace authorization

I had to wait 145 days for my last batch down in the south east region. Yours sounds not so bad!

    Question about an authorization

Like others have already said, find a local pilot who already has the authorization, and hire him to over see your project until your own authorization comes back in from the FAA. You take a hit on your profits, but keep the job and everybody involved is legal and happy. And it is also just a...

Flying over people and/or moving vehicles

I wouldn't recommend it. Not over bare people, and not over moving cars. Hobby or commercial. Instead you could buy some cones and section off areas to keep as intended flight paths to keep pedestrians and cars out of. Use VO's to help spot when its clear to cross a street or two. But at the...

    Airspace Authorization Delays

    What is working now?

The Z30 is a camera that is capable of 30x optical soon. So you dont need to fly nearly as close to get accurate pictures.

    Real estate drone work

There is a nice market in with the high end guys. I linked up with a high end firm that sells roughly 80 mansions a year. They wanted to do videos for 40 of them last year for homes ranging anywhere from $800k- $28m. This approach will require a lot more gear and experience than just being a...

    Ask a sUAS Thermographer

I am trying to break into the energy sector. It will be for powerline work. I was told it is a requirement. But I don't have all the details yet. I'm really just trying to get ahead so when the opportunity comes I can be prepaired. And i am just starting to learn about thermal cams, so I still...

    Ask a sUAS Thermographer

What are the biggest differences in the XT 640 and 336? Is there an XT-R? I need a camera that the whole screen is radiometric.

    Night Operators

    Airspace Authorization Delays

I would imagine the same until LAANC is available.
