107 Recurrency Test At Home

I just browsed over a few of the latest posts regarding this test .
Is any one aware of any updates to the proposal of 107 pilots taking this test at home ?

I have also heard rumors of this recurrency test becoming free as well .
The trade off being that the in home, online free test will be the full 60 question knowledge test .

This might happen, possibly as early as late 2020. But there's no firm knowledge on this yet.

Of course, if you're a Part 61 certificated pilot with a current BFR, you already have the option of taking the Part 107 recurrency test online & free.

As to the timeline for changes to the 107 test (site & fee), my guess is we'll see initial implementation of the recreational sUAS RPIC knowledge exam first.
