Is there a figure of how many charges a P4 battery lasts? I have 3 batteries reaching 100 times each one. I am worried they will fail sometime soon when flying. When do you stop using them and dispose them?

A “good” lithium battery, with “good” meaning of higher quality, should go between 250-500 “controlled” cycles.

Critical to battery life is the controlled use process, regardless of cell quality. Poor handling and storage practices, excessive charge rates, deep discharging, failing to let a depleted battery cool before recharging, all reduce battery life cycle to some extent every time they occur. Age from time of manufacture is also a factor.

We just sold a "system" that had batteries with over 200 charge cycles and they were still performing very well considering their age. These numbers are achieved with very tedious care and storage of the batteries.

Most LIPO batteries don't just "die" of age but from misuse/storage practices. They show signs long before they reach failure point so keep good notes on charging and performance and you'll most likely see a "Trend" before you see a failure.

Truer words were never spoken...Keep a battery log!
