FAA - LAANC Authorizations for NIGHT Flight in Controlled Airspace (temporary)

Something is unclear to me: How does one specify the time and duration of the night time operations? Does a daylight LAANC approval for an arbitrary time/duration, combined with the National Authorization, allow same-date night time operations of any time/duration up to midnight? And do you really need to print out the text message of the LAANC authorization and physically attach it to the National Authorization, rather than just having it available on your phone?

From the website:
  • The National Authorization is effective only in conjunction with LAANC issued authorizations at or below the Unmanned Aircraft System Facility Map (UASFM) values of the same calendar day.
  • Night time operations that carry over from one calendar day to the next will require separate LAANC daytime authorizations each calendar day.
Yes, any LAANC authorization that you get for that day extends through the end of the day with the National Authorization, even if you only specify a half hour operation. At least for now until a new night system is rolled out.

Keeping it on your phone is probably fine for most operations unless maybe you're flying in a sensitive area and are expecting to be questioned and just want everything to go as smoothly as possible.
