Hello everyone.
I recently joined MavicPilots, and just discovered this site.
While I'm not new to flying as a hobbyist, I am new to the Part 107 community, and trying to carve out my own little part in the business community.
Everyone at MavicPilots has been great. I'm sure it will be the same here.

I look forward to the interactions.
Thanks

I go to Visalia several times a year for RC soaring contests. It is really growing. Agriculture and construction would be what I would look at if I lived there.

Real estate is a dead end. Either pays poorly or brokers are flying it themselves illegally (at least in Orange County)

Many brokers and agents fly illegally here in Florida also

I think it is a "thing" with them. I have 2 friends who do high end real estate ($2 million+) in my area. Both have people in their offices who fly. When I asked if they were Part 107 I got the deer in the headlights look.

The thing that bothers me is that the FAA treat hobbyist totally different that commercial. Do something stupid as a hobbyist and it's "please don't do that again" do the same thing as a commercial pilot and it's fine time or lose your license, two standards for the same offense.

Honestly I have not seen much in the way of enforcement for either group. However this is not unlike how the FAA treats folks with a PPL versus a commercial or ATP certificate. You are held to a higher standard due to increased training and responsibility.
