Don't be fooled by the name-- Dashcam Viewer works with both drone video and automobile dash cam video (the developer is a Part 107-certified drone pilot :)). Here's more info on using Dashcam Viewer with drones.

Today's release adds the "real-time" line-of-sight (LOS) distance display between a GeoTag and the drone's current position. A GeoTag is simply a marker you can drop at any point in your video. It shows up on the Map and on the list of GeoTags. For example, if you put a GeoTag at your start position, the tag will show the latitude/longitude of that point, the current LOS distance of the UAV, the distance of the UAV from the tag along the route, the movie name, date, time, and elapsed time into the movie. An example is shown below:

GeoTags, shown in the Map and in GeoTags list on right, show key points of interest and distances to the UAV. The graph in the bottom-right shows the UAV speed versus time. The lower-left Dashboard display shows the speed distance, heading, position, and number of GNSS satellites in view. The LOS distance of the drone from the operator was 1.2 miles at this point in the video.

There is a free trial version of Dashcam Viewer on our website, available for Mac and Windows. The full version is $25US. Currently, 4K video may result in playback stutter. We have a beta version that eliminates this issue (on the Mac, haven't ported to Windows yet) and adds extra features. We plan to release it once the new features are ready.
