My first LAANC - MLI / Quad Cities IA

So LAANC went live in WAVE 6 - my area last week, and I used AIRMAP app - pretty straight forward process. In less than a minute - I got the 'Automated FAA Controlled Airspace authorization...' in a text message to my phone. Flew the flight plan - done. Whole process TOO EASY - very happy with it.

Yes, it is convenient. I did the same last Wednesday in So Calif for airspace 3mi from Ontario Intl Airport. Quick and painless. Strange that they didn't ask for my Part107 Cert#. Seems like kind of a loose process, opposite of what I expected.

What app did you use to access it? Airmap or Skyward? I can' remember if I had to enter my Cert # into those apps or not. Maybe that's how they verify it. I just took my recurrent exam and no one has asked me about that yet either.

kewls! i have yet to need LAANC/Airmap but i am sure that will soon end soon enough lol
