New to the forum but not new to UAVs.
I have been building quads for several years and moved to DJI Mavics a couple years ago.
I recently added a Mavic 2ED and am looking forward to putting it good use.
I fully understand its limitations, and if there is a larger demand for higher res thermal then i will start shopping for a M210, or similar.
I have been mostly doing large scale 3D imaging of shore erosion but its time to expand a bit.

Very cool, how large in area were the shore erosion projects?

One that I am following is about 1200' long. It takes almost 400 pictures to make a 3d point cloud of it.

Very cool, is it for the government or private entity? And how long does one full project take?

It's for our neighborhood association. We own a stretch of private beach on Lake Erie.
I can usually fly it with one battery, but the processing takes a few hours. Then you have to fly it again a few months or a year later to do a comparison. That takes more processing.
I'm still experimenting with different software to see what I like best.
