I hope I'm not repeating a thread and if I am, please accept my apologies. Due to health reasons, I allowed my license to expire and have decided to renew it. My understanding is that it really never expires, but you just can't legally fly until you take a refresher course in which I have done. My problem is that I can't find my card that I was initially given. I have looked all over the web trying to find a way to get another, but have had no luck. I also can't find my original number that they issued. Any ideas out there in what I can do to get a new card? Thanks in advance.

Something similar happened to a friend yesterday. They misplaced their certificate and needed the certificate number in order to apply for a replacement.

If you log into FAA IACRA, your certificate number is listed there in your account/profile.

Did you ever use Kittyhawk io (Now Aloft) for LAANC? If so, and you filled out your account, the number will be in there also.

I needed to have mine replaced a few years back and was surprised to discovered that the replacement Remote Pilot Certificates do not show an issue date. At least mine didn't.

A remote pilot certificate never expires. That doesn’t mean you don’t have to keep taking the periodic test to keep it up-to-date.
