I know of several Sheriffs departments already using Drones.

Our local sheriff has a very substantial drone program as well (20+). The issues is with the laws that currently limit all of their allowed uses - but in our opinion many of their required uses are covered in the exceptions. I sit on the FL Peninsula Chapter of AUVSI and we get a great update each month on what is happening on the legislative front.
