This is a ridiculous proposal that would make many drone operations impractical. Hopefully the industry and FAA push back hard.

This was first proposed by the ULC back in July (about the same time that some special interest groups were attempting to privatize the NAS.) Fortunately, the FAA - and much of the sUAS stakeholder community - were immediate & vocal in their opposition (in part because the ULC falsely claimed to have FAA backing.)

Unfortunately, the ULC - which has NO expertise in aviation/drones, but seems to be made up of folks who garner substantial incomes from litigation - has no intention of letting this go, is trying to play on unfounded fear & hype, and has now repackaged and reissued the power grab proposal (v2.0) http://www.uniformlaws.org/shared/docs/drones, tort law relating to/2018oct_TLRDA_Mtg Draft_ADA.pdf

Yes, that's why I started the thread and posted that document and the industry rebuttal in the first post (in case you missed it). ;)

I did not download and read the articles so I am responding to your summary of them .

I usually say "never say never" but that will NEVER FLY!
