There used to be an outfit in North Carolina I believe that provided a one or two week class to get certified and log the necessary hours to perform Utility transmission/distribution line inspection. Anyone know if that outfit is still around? If not, is anyone else offering it? I am in the early stages for bidding on a large utility contract, but am guessing all pilots will need this.

They are no longer in business.

Most utilities have their own training each pilot needs to go through. Do you have experience with telecom work?

@Vic Moss Thanks for the information Vic. And, No I do not have any previous experience working around distribution lines and Sub-Stations. Was hoping to take advantage of that class which has the hands-on experience with understanding working around EMI. Will have to see how this opportunity evolves.

Perhaps someone on here does this work and could let you assist on a job for hands on experience.
