The Forest Service used a DJI Matrice 600 near Flagstaff, Arizona to drop fire-starting "eggs" to burn up potential fuel, preventing a forest fire from spreading uncontrollably. Read more about it in the link below. It is a very cool article, can't wait to see what they think of next!

What can the military learn from forest fire-fighting drones?
Drones that start fires to fight fires are useful tools, built on commercial off-the-shelf technology. It's easy to imagine the military finding an application for them.
