They specify "the number of drones in your fleet that you will operate within the policy period, including owned, leased, rented, or borrowed." They do not require any model or serial # information. Since they are only insuring the craft during...

Extracting building footprints from UAS imagery can be a tricky process, especially in dense urban areas where precision is key.

I am not sure I am understanding this. When you get insurance do they ask you for the number of drones you want insured? Or do they ask for the individual make, model and serial number? At work we have to give the insurance company the make...

I would just continue with the 1-2 drone rate liability. I currently own a dozen drones right now. But when I show up on a job I typically have 2. One to use and 1 as a backup. Their meaning for specifying a "#" of drones is unclear and...

That’s great, but all I did was clarify that Virtual Surveyor is not photogrammetry software even though they consistently put the word photogrammetry in their marketing material.

Given the initial poster's interest in measuring mine dumps, it seemed reasonable for at least educational purposes to suggest looking at the YouTube video about the new Terrain Creator. Also, the poster was concerned about the risk of placing...

Virtual Surveyor does not perform image alignment, generate point clouds, or create orthomosaics. It is not a full photogrammetry processing software like Agisoft Metashape, Pix4D, or RealityCapture. Instead, it is designed to work with...

Time to renew my business liability insurance. I have two drones in my inventory. Been using Skywatch for my liability coverage. No Hull coverage. 1-2 drones is $665 for 1M general liability. I am replacing one of my aging thermal drones for a...

yes research is where I find it might be useful. other than that, I was flying and counting lettuce app. 2 weeks after planting on 20 ha last year. Required resolution was at around 0.6 cm/px. Used M3M and field edges were bit difficult due to...

No need for that gsd. Unless you need it for object detection.

Keep in mind your state laws on surveying. In my state, performing this work falls under professional certification and requires a license.

Those are awesome, too! Very cool technology that could be implemented into our system ;). There has to be some way ACS can use the experience on this forum for good, we should get some brainstorming going on how to protect the US Warfighters

I want to start treating roofs for moss prevention, and I was wondering what people think the feasibility of using a DJI Agras T10 would be. RTK would obviously make it better, but do you think it’s necessary?

You'll love the Mavic 3T. Great drone. I have a feeling that if DJI does get banned, and the ban allows all current DJI products to remain flying, only banning anything new, drones like this will be in demand as any American made drone: Will...
