Can anyone provide instructions on how to download flight logs from the P4 RTK GL300N controller (with the small built-in screen, not the SDK controller)? I've Googled the question and found a couple of different sites that give steps (by...

JimD replied to the thread LAANC Approved, Read to fly?.
I can understand your concern, but believe me when I tell you, the FAA or ATC would not have approved it if they thought for a microsecond that it was high risk in fact, they would consider it low risk or they wouldn’t do it. In the current...

Well, in my experience for their Airport, ATC was indeed the final authority. First of all the airport itself were the ones that defined what the LANNC zones should be. I also know for a fact that when it’s a non-automatic approval it’s ATC...

Any time I have fly inside the bounds of an airport I notify ATC of take-off and landing. Many times the authorization will actually request this. I'm surprised yours doesn't.

No mind. FAA trumps ATC every day so you did the right thing. That sounds like a grumpy Controller.

With an approved LAANC is there anything more that needs to be done? No. Beingtechnically correct what you have is a COA. Does the tower or FAA see our drone when flying? Are they watching it for safety? Maybe but probably not. My local...

Sunny weather in the summer will help. It will solar load the ground making it hotter. It will make the water evaporate quicker making those areas cooler.

No. The AUVSI TOPs program is pointless. There isn't a single company that gives a crap about it. Don't waste your money.

It's well known that drone presence is going to increase across anything that can be considered interesting and entertaining. The actions you mention need to be investigated immediately. If they do not have Part 107 certifications and are not...

We were recently tasked with mapping a property we own that is extremely close to an airport. We put in a LAANC for approval through Aloft and first received the response of "Pending FAA Review". About a week later IT was "Authorized by FAA"...

coombsderek15 posted the thread Spray drone truck in Spraying.
Just would like to see some photos of others truck/trailer setup for Spray drones. Specifically if anyone is just using a truck and not a trailer, what your setup is. We have a Hylio AG 230 and use a trailer, but would like to ditch the trailer...

It's possible to find leaks with a thermal. In the summer when hot the water leaks will appear cold and in the winter vice versa. Farmers with drones do this often to find broken irrigation lines and to look for too much watering in sections.

Didn't know that. The OP listed he was interested in mapping commercially so I guess I expected them to be looking at certs that would demonstrate competence in that field. Oh well, they seem to have gone missing anyway!

AVUSI has these Trusted Operator certificates that they make you pay a lot of money for. The college I work at part time thought about going that route, but didn't. APSA is the Airborne Public Safety Association and offers a course called BPERP...

Once again, 4,000+ commercial drone folks from 75 nations will be gathering in Las Vegas next month. You can get an expo pass for free when registering with the code SAVE100 - it's a $250 value. 200 exhibitors are waiting to show you their...

I think you meant ASPRS certification ? AVUSI has basically become a lobbying organization trying to get all Chinese manufactured drones banned in the US.
