That sounds useful, especially for mapping jobs where the problems usually show up after processing has already wasted time.
For me, the most valuable pre-checks would be overlap gaps, blurry images, exposure changes, missing sections, weak GPS...
Happy July Everyone,
Here's a fun track from my Jazz/Big Band page...now in higher-quality Ogg format:
"SLAPSTICK" (Looping)

Late to the thread, but this is a really useful discussion.
For this kind of corridor work, I like the idea of thinking about the deliverable first. If the client only needs progress documentation, the workflow can be simpler. But if they expect...

I am an sUAS Operations manager of a fully Blue UAS-compliant program with over 50 pilots across the United States. It is truly an effort keeping up with the system of record, pilot accountability and hardware/software/firmware updates.
I’m working on a small tool for checking drone mapping image sets before sending them to processing platforms like Pix4D, WebODM, DroneDeploy, etc.
The checks are basic but practical:
- estimated compression savings
- preserved image dimensions...
A lot of drone industry discussions focus on aircraft, sensors, BVLOS, mapping, and automation.
But I think there is a less discussed question: who keeps all of this working in the field?
As commercial drone operations grow, maintenance may...
Hi everyone,
I’m new to the forum and interested in learning more about commercial drone operations, especially BVLOS, Remote ID, UTM, mapping, inspections, and how regulations are shaping the industry.
I’ve been reading more about how drone...
Hi everyone,
I’m working on drone imagery workflows and currently looking at ways to pre-check mapping image sets before processing.
Main interests are mapping, photogrammetry, image quality, file sizes, and upload/processing efficiency...
I’ve been thinking about the idea of drone highways, and the more I read about it, the more it seems like the actual bottleneck is not the drone itself.
Better batteries, cameras, payloads, and aircraft matter, but commercial scale seems to...
Greetings Fellow Creatives!
My quest continues to make every looping track on my site available in higher-quality Ogg format, so this week we have:
"THE ITALIAN HEIST"
You can listen to it here...
