    Question about Drone Base

In my experience, that's exactly why. I have a M2Zoom and only get very basic real estate missions from them. I wondered why I didn't even get offered training for more complicated (more pay) missions and dug deep through the InterWebs (Google Page 2 lol) and came to the realization that I'll...

SkyWatch.AI On Demand Drone Insurance - We Want Your Feedback!

When comparing insurance companies, we don't see much about actual claim experiences. Unfortunately, I can give a first hand account of SkyWatch.AI's claim process. My drone (and other things) were stolen two weeks ago (I don't want to talk about the details of that ordeal publicly). As soon as...

Is anyone finding success using sites like DroneBase and Droners.io to find jobs? Pros/Cons of these services

They never offered me to do the training for video. I'm starting to wonder if model of drone has anything to do with the types of missions offered. I have the M2Zoom and only do the simple RE shots. Front, L Side, R Side, 100' shot and Pano. 10 minutes tops. Can I ask what model you have?

Is anyone finding success using sites like DroneBase and Droners.io to find jobs? Pros/Cons of these services

Central California. Maybe more housing turnover? The missions come in waves, but they do come and disappear quick if you're not on top of them right away.

Is anyone finding success using sites like DroneBase and Droners.io to find jobs? Pros/Cons of these services

I fly for DroneBase. I completely agree with the above post, but, how else do we get started? There has to be an entry level to get experience. I'm getting that. I have plans, but I need an entry point, and DB is providing that. Missions happen in waves. They come, to me anyway, in the middle of...

AirMap LAANC "Major Outage" / app issue

I did my first LAANC auth for Class C in Oakland, CA yesterday using AirMap for DroneBase (some of us need to start at the bottom, I know) and it didn't look like the videos I've seen. The flight was 'submitted' and the timer started. I looked everywhere for an Authorization but ultimately...

Has anyone successfully applied for a long-term night waiver?

I'm getting ready to submit for the 107.29 Daylight Waiver. A friend of mine had his approved after his second attempt. It takes a while, like 3 months. If you get denied, the FAA tells you exactly why so you can fix your application and resubmit and wait an additional 3 months. Hoping I get it...

Is there a career to be made in being a drone photographer? Hello from New Jersey

Skiptv - No disrespect at all, but statements like that are misleading at minimum. I've had a very successful career in IT. I would never tell a younger computer enthusiast that I'm a God with WIndows 95 and there's no room for you in this industry because I got here first. Time marches on. We...

    Waiver search engine

You, Ryan Fox, Sir, reacquainted me with a friend from the past I had no idea flew drones commercially. There were only three names in my town. I recognized one, went to the listed website, hit his 'contact us' button and have a new old good friend (who will help me with the daylight waiver!)...

    After passing the 107 exam

Once I saw the cert # on IACRA, it took close to 2 weeks to get the card. I've read others say 1 week, but mine took a tad longer.

    Daylight Waiver Question about Geography

I want to apply for a Daylight Waiver to market some ideas I have in my home town. I'm Gold Seal alumni so I believe I have the knowledge to complete the application and comply with the terms of the waiver. My question is, and I've searched high and low is about specific geographical location...

    After passing the 107 exam

I sat and passed the exam on a Friday. Saturday afternoon IACRA had my info. I filled out everything. The temp cert was available shortly thereafter. The bummer is the Cetificate No. box says 'Pending'. I guess we have to wait for the card to arrive in the mail to have an actual Cert#. I suppose...
