    Thanks, I hadn't considered that.

    DroneHive work in Washington state

I recently applied to DroneHive and just had my on-boarding interview. I was told that the 3 main areas of work they are fulfilling in western Washington are Construction site progress, farm mapping and cell-tower inspections. He said the Mavic 2Pro is the most commonly requested platform from...

I will admit, my headline could have been more clear.

Advice on charging on a unique drone shoot

Hey fellow droners - I couldn't post in the gigs forum due to insufficient privileges, so here I am. I have been contacted by a modular home delivery company that would like me to shoot aerial videos of the delivery and offloading of this home on a remote island. It will be a day-long event and...

    Reaching Clients

Yep, website/social media checks are part of my market research. Yes, the Burlington chamber promoted my name & logo. I'm trying to continually update my content and Google reviews/testimonials.

    Reaching Clients

I shot a pro-bono project with the Burlington Chamber of Commerce that was a great experience and have attended a networking event with the Bellingham Chamber, but would like to do more work with other chambers. Those other ideas are most certainly great opportunities for me and I will...

    Reaching Clients

Thank you for that great input, Anthony. Yes, I've seen Tony Marino's great posts and been reading his content. Good tips, and it really helps to hear your story of how you were able to break through that first layer of ice. I think that is the hard sell, that is to get these perspective clients...

    Reaching Clients

Thank you for the words of encouragement! Failure is not on option for me - I'm in this come hell or high water. But forming my own business is a new concept to me and despite all of the information out there, I'm not sure of the most effective methods of reaching my target clients. I don't have...

    Reaching Clients

Greetings everyone - I opened my Mount Vernon, Washington drone business in January of this year. I've tweaked my website based on keyword searches for my marketed clients (construction, real estate, photogrammetry, infrastructure inspections, advertising and scenic outdoors footage). But my...

Air 2S Android DroneDeploy critical error

So I've installed DroneDeploy (trial) and successfully created projects and linked to my Air2s. However, the bird won't go airborne as I encounter a "critical error". I've updated firmware, activated the DJI fly app, then closed it completely and opened DroneDeploy. And I still get the error...

LIDAR or Photogrammetry Pilots in Western Washington

Greetings! I live in Mount Vernon (just south of Bellingham along the I5 corridor) in western Washington and have noticed a remarkable opportunity for LIDAR and photogrammetry mapping for farms & survey/construction sites. The downside is this isn't something I can just jump into as I only have...

DaVinci media offline on 4k 60fps upload

Your theory makes perfect sense, and that is most likely what happened. I have been using the H.265 until the first time I tried rendering my video file for publishing and found it to be almost 2.5gb! I have been processing them for YouTube format and they have been fine for my social media...

DaVinci media offline on 4k 60fps upload

Never mind! I decided to pony up the 99 pennies and purchase the HEVC video extension from Microsoft and it worked. Doesn't make sense being that I was using the same exact video format Sunday with no problems. Weird.
