Questions regarding specific activities under Part 107 rules

@BigAl07, This is how I have interpreted it as well - so I DO have goggles, but they are dedicated to my wife running the camera from her wheelchair. @Heygeorge, I've seen some people doing this on YouTube, so it <might> be open to interpretation as you said. @Bob, OK, I'll buy it for signal...

Questions regarding specific activities under Part 107 rules

Hi, I posted these on the Inspire Pilots page, but there were no responses. I see a lot of questionable activity from drone operators on YouTube. Not sure if they are "in the know" or "operating outside the authorized flight envelope" as we called it in the USAF: FPV and goggles - it appears...

Recommendations for Insurance for new operators?

No, it's a rider on a homeowner's policy that provides supplemental coverage for high-dollar items. "Personal Articles Protection". I can understand the confusion. So I have three of these now. One for my camera equipment, one for my telescope and observatory, and one for my Inspire 1.

Recommendations for Insurance for new operators?

I went with PAP coverage for drone and liability from State Farm. It's $40 a month, $2M in liability, property damage, and injury, and full coverage on the drone in case of crash, theft, fire, or loss. $500 deductible.
