    Another knucklehead

I don't think they have the manpower to handle complaints. "The FAA encourages the public to report unauthorized drone operations to local law enforcement and to help discourage this dangerous, illegal activity."

Drone knucklehead . . . very UNCOOL stunt flying over HELICOPTER

This will continue to happen as long as people are flying beyond vlos. That's what happened in the midair collision NTSB Report DCA17IA202AB. He was so far out he didn't see or HEAR the approaching heli.

    Another knucklehead

I wonder if it was someone who thought they were helping. Regardless, it does not look good for the UAS community. If my local PD or Fire Dept ever ask me to assist in a SAR event I'll be up in the air in a heartbeat but I would be back on the ground before the big boy toys were flying over head.

Is a Part 107 Remote Pilot required to report other people unauthorized actions?

Why not use the opportunity to educate and if the behavior continues report to event staff?

I updated it. Thought my location was in my profile but it wasn't. I wish all these forums were linked together.

    Webinar: Airspace Authorizations Made Easy

Just wanted to say thank you for the webinar upload. The FAA is stepping up their game! I had both of my wide area airspace authorizations for class D airspaces approved in less than 9 days. They even extended my timeframe for both COA's by a year each. I submitted both requests after watching...

    Best insurance?

My G&L and E&O insurance provider advised me on friday that my policy only covers the use of drones for official home inspection business and that RE photography is not a covered service. I see no reason to have a separate policy for the same equipment but it's not up to me. Any suggestions? PS...

Rates for residential roof and building inspection?

I'm a home inspector, be careful calling it an "inspection" as that single word can cost you dearly depending on your state laws. Some states require you to be certified/licensed or carry a minimum G&L and or E&O insurance. The state licensing boards are always looking for an easy fine or...

FAA will require drones to display registration numbers externally

I just copied and pasted out of the document so we could see a side by side comparison of the verbiage change. I knew this would be an interesting topic considering the scale model rc pilots appear to be impacted as well. I guess they could always make their registration number look like a...

FAA will require drones to display registration numbers externally

In § 48.205, revise paragraph (c) to read as follows: (c) The unique identifier must be legibly displayed on an external surface of the small unmanned aircraft.
