    Real Estate Photography

Well he did mention "producing films" so when you say - no question, there might actually be one or two. I have a Phantom and the one issue a film maker could easily have is seeing the props under some conditions and of course; you are locked onto a single direction of camera pan. More complex...

    Incident Over Water? Getterback

I've had one installed for over a year - never used it so far, knock on wood. In the original instructions - I believe it was; it was mentioned that in colder water it could take longer to deploy, so I'm guessing they have addressed this in the new model. As I do most of my flying in Florida I...

Youtube - Optimization tips & links

I've not seen that thread here, but I posted on the Yuneec forum a while back about this very topic. To get the most out of YouTube do not use the typical settings or any "youtube" preset found in many editors. A lot of the basic entry level type editors, squeeze the output far too much. Media...

ARTICLE: Who owns the air above your home?

I have discussed this very topic with a friend that is Orlando PD. We conjured up many possible scenarios where someone (as you have noted) "perceives" their privacy being infringed. You are right that; once police are on scene, the questioning would begin. But in nearly every scenario, being...

ARTICLE: Who owns the air above your home?

I think so. Another way to look at it (and this is just my reading of that law) If you are a homeowner, you can expect privacy behind fences and walls that are meant to keep neighbors and strangers from seeing what you are doing - unless and except for - those entities that are lawfully...

ARTICLE: Who owns the air above your home?

I did some research and found the following rules as they pertain to privacy here in Florida. Most states will likely have similar on the books. I've redacted out a lot of text that does not pertain to this conversation. (3) PROHIBITED USE OF DRONES.— (b) A person, a state agency, or a...

ARTICLE: Who owns the air above your home?

The operative wording is "too Close" Privacy rights vs airspace. This issue is less about airspace and more about an expectation of privacy. Where and when someone claims their right to privacy was violated will always be what a case comes down to in regards to legal matter between a homeowner...

Using a Realtor as an observer

Not here in the states @ArrUnTuS currently, but I think its a good idea that anyone assisting in UAV operations have an understanding not only of the flight parameters but also know what information they need to relay to the pilot and why.

This guy nails it in many ways, are you a business person?

I agree - free markets work for sure. If you can produce a product that satisfies the customer's needs and do it at a lower cost than someone else in that same market, that's what it's all about.

OC, like your videos too but as you point out this one has some special "polish" to it. As I was watching I was thinking ' some VO has literally nailed the Sam Elliot gig LOL.

Using a Realtor as an observer

An observer is not mandatory as long as you the pilot; maintains VLOS. As you noted, an untrained observer can be a hindrance if they don't know their full purpose so I would not ask a stranger or anyone unfamiliar with UAV operations to be an observer on a commercial shoot. So far I have only...
