Need better batteries, but they look pretty cool. How would the auto rotations go? I guess with 8 motors there is some redundancy. Or will they just use a deployable parachute like some of the composite planes. FAA approved passenger drone parts are going to be expensive!

Upon information and belief, if you send your I1 batteries back to DJI they might offer a replacement option. Good information to know!

Good points. 500 feet AGL is what we always fly in a helicopter. Keeps us out of fixed wing traffic and supposed to keep us out of legal drone traffic too. I never hover in the air with a piston helicopter. It doesn't give you a lot of time to autorotate. But then again it is always a look...

The drone fared better than the bell jet ranger. Bell Jet ranger has 140 knots cruise speed? So that had to hit hard. Doesn't say how high the collision occurred.

Good advice. That is a common problem if you are in business for yourself. Lots of deadbeats out there. It is a hard balance because it is good to have work. People can be such sleazeballs sometimes.

Where do you go to sign up for the Thermal classes? Are there on line certifications or are they class instruction? I have the xt but not the xt R. But I think there was a way to get temperatures from it. Are the classes 4 days of solid instruction? So my present mission might be trying...
