Do you have a link to your product?

Drone Purchase Assistance - DJI Banned

I might be looking at Anzu - here: Drones: American Option Emerges Amid DJI Ban Saga

Did DJI just set the new benchmark for Thermal Payloads?

Yeah - I saw that and wondered the same thing. We were ecstatic when DJI upgraded their sensors to 640 x 512 from the previously much lower resolution - and it should be only a matter of time for the technology to trickly down to the M3Ts. Then we can all go out and purchase new drones. Oh wait...

"Drone pilot can't offer mapping without North Carolina surveyor's license, court says"

I would appreciate some clarity on use-case scenarios or proper language to outline what was necessary and what is not to meet these new regulations. I regularly fly volunteer mapping missions for local conservation areas documenting shoreline erosion and reclamation efforts. No precision...

    Battery Deep Cycle Discharge Solution

Are you looking for a charger that can charge/discharge to storage levels? Or do you want one that can bring the battery down to zero to level the cells and recharge?

DJI Mavic 3E Software Updates Released

I love the Live View. When flying sideways or backwards, the appropriate camera comes on and I can SEE what I'm doing. Very nice update.

    M3E Map Box resolution

Sorry - not familiar with Map Box. I've never seen that on my M3E here in Canada.

    M3E Map Box resolution

I find the resolution of Google maps to be quite variable. Excellent for built-up areas - cities, towns, et., but poor to very poor for remote locations. Instead of satellite view, can you just select map view to make mission planning easier? What kind of Google services are you talking about?

Anyone with experience with methane detection and the U10 payload?

The whole Essex County area in Ontario here is covered with capped gas and oil wells. Some have been lost over the years. The gas seeps are variable from small to some large ones that they couldn't locate the source of until there was an explosion that blew up a portion of the downtown core in...

Anyone with experience with methane detection and the U10 payload?

Thanks for the link - very informative! Which sensor package do you use for UAV methane detection? The Flir, Falcon, etc.? What is the width of the corridor that you survey? I'm trying to get a feel for how much overlap would be required for a flight, or if I'm just dreaming that I could do this...

Anyone with experience with methane detection and the U10 payload?

I can't seem to find much information about use in the field with the U10 methane gas detector by AiLF. I'm trying to find out if it can be used to scan a wide area like my M3E/M30 doing surveys and mapping. We have an interest in our county where there are a lot of wells - many of which have...

Lifespan of the mechanical shutter of the DJI M3E

If you're talking about regular cameras, then the reasons are multiple; For silence. Are you in a courtroom? Wedding venue? Funeral? Also, electronic shutters often allow much higher frames per second shooting than mechanical ones. If this is a drone you're talking about, then except for wear...

Lifespan of the mechanical shutter of the DJI M3E

I just checked the EXIF data and shutter actuations weren't listed. I also ran an online EXIF reader that checks for shutter actuations without result. That program works on my cameras though.

Lifespan of the mechanical shutter of the DJI M3E

Maybe my older DSLRs had that kind of life, but nowadays, this is what we get: "Nikon claims a shutter life expectancy of 200 000 actuations for its Z6 and Z7 mirrorless cameras. Canon's EOS R is also rated for 200 000 actuations, although the lower-priced EOS RP is rated for up to 100,000...

Lifespan of the mechanical shutter of the DJI M3E

That makes sense Dave. I don't know if the lenses can be easily separated from the shutter/sensor mechanism or as you suggest, it's just easier to replace the whole camera on the gimbal. I often look at things from a photography perspective since that's one thing I've been doing consistently for...
