Brand new plane, modified a bit for the delivery, in the air 2 hours later for a lesson.
Pilot Tom Lopes recently piloted a brand new Cessna 172 Skyhawk from Merced, California to a flight school in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Didn't realize you were in Oz. I would often have to pax in metro from Dwn to Groote. Not much chop when your 6'2".I gather it's quite common for Air Tractors and the like to be ferried over with a hopper full of JetA1. I would be far more comfortable with a PT-6 out front than a Lyc., but that is a long way without Otto. The best I have done is 6.5hrs YPDN-YPTH in a Metro hand flown.
