All,

Was wondering what your protocol is for discharging of your dji batteries. Had a flight this week where I used only another 35% of the battery. Have the batteries set to discharge over 3 days but seems to not be really consistent on that. So what do most do in a situation where you do not use a full battery. I normally try to make a full flight on batteries but because I was from a boat over 5 miles from the nearest land I figured instead of rolling the dice, I would land asap and deal with the batteries later. Thanks for any input

We have our DJI packs set to discharge starting at 5 days and they do indeed start at 5 days. Just wait about 8 days and check the battery to confirm it has been discharged. Don't do it before that because it will re-set the auto-discharge timer back to 5 days.

If you're really concerned you can fly locally to get the battery down into the 50% range but out of several dozen of batteries from DJI none of ours have failed to discharge to date.
