CAA Authorizations Turnaround Time

Are you speaking of C-anadian A-viation A-dministraton ? I'm a U.S. 107 pilot, but I do work in Canada by way of an SFOC (Special Flight Operations Certificate). If this is what you are speaking of, I can elaborate more. Canada has a "different" set of rules when it comes to getting airspace authorizations.

...location info says he's from SE Florida.
CAA is a general term for any nation outside the U.S. & FAA (Civil Aviation Authority)

To answer, I just had a co-worker get an airspace authorization approved in three days for Class D SE of KLAX. Amazing.
I think they have thrown a ton of resources at the waiver & authorization effort in North America. You can also get more information by contacting [email protected].
