CAA to withdraw from EASA

Am I missing something

I thought that the new UAS regulations where dependent upon being part of EASA.
Doesn't CAP 1789 hinge on being part of "The EU UAS Regulation Package"?

Can someone elucidate please?

The CAA don’t get to withdraw from EASA...that is a government decision. Grant Shapps has declared that we will withdraw and this may, or may not, impact any new drone legislation.
